VOC abatement - environmental protection without creating new hazards The
incorporation of a VOC abatement device into a vent system can represent a convenient
method of arresting both continuous and intermittent releases to atmosphere. However
stream composition and flowrate excursions, fouling and corrosion can create situations

can be managed by correct technology selection, duty specification and system
operation. An IChemE meeting on this topic will be held on Tuesday 22nd November
